Welcome to Wonders of Cooking!
Hello, I'm Madison—recipe developer, writer, photographer, and your personal guide to mastering gluten-free baking. After living gluten-free for nine years, I know firsthand how challenging it can be to find recipes that truly deliver on taste and texture. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to create foolproof, gluten-free recipes that reclaim the foods you love.
My specialty? Gluten-free sourdough and all things dough—English muffins, rolls, biscuits, French bread, Pop-Tarts, Cheez-Its, and more. Wonders of Cooking isn’t just about recipes—it’s about teaching you the techniques behind them so you can bake with confidence. For those of us eating gluten-free, an English muffin recipe isn't just a recipe, it's a taste of tear-provoking normalcy.

Baking gluten-free doesn’t have to be overwhelming, and I’m here to show you just how possible (and delicious) it can be! Whether you’re new to gluten-free baking or a seasoned pro looking to perfect your craft, I’m here to make the process easy, approachable, and—most importantly—delicious.
Let’s bake something wonderful together!

About Me
I was born in suburbia Maryland but have always had a heart for the country. After five years of hard work, my husband and I built a small cottage in a rural town, surrounded by corn, soybeans, and—ironically—wheat.
Since then, I’ve embraced gluten-free sourdough, baking all our bread from scratch, and this spring, I’m planting an early American "kitchen garden" full of herbs. But this is just the beginning. My dream is to build a micro farm with chickens, a roadside stand, honeybees, and a thriving garden. My husband, a carpenter, hopes to have a woodshop on our property where he can create and sell his work.
While we don’t have it all yet, my goal is to show you how to embrace a homestead lifestyle with what you have. Our cottage may be new construction, but that doesn’t stop me from wearing an apron, having bake days, and tending the garden!

Goals and Values:
- Create delicious recipes that everyone will love and that anyone can cook
- Cook with only natural ingredients/whole foods. Eliminating all artificial sweeteners, preservatives, and fillers such as all forms of corn syrup, food colors, and words that can't be pronounced. As well as cook with only gluten-free ingredients.
- Eliminate pesticide exposure (specifically glyphosate) on foods by buying organic whenever feasible.
- Buy less/no packaged foods or individually packaged snacks.
- Make EVERYTHING from scratch. For example, bread, tortillas, sauces, salad dressings, gravies, granola bars, and granola, trail mix, pickles, etc.
- Ferment foods every week to aid healthy gut bacteria and digestion.
- Grow my own herbs and vegetables
Fun facts
- Constantly battling bugs, mud, & all things country in our backyard.
- I watch 18th century inspired cooking videos in my spare time
