This Cinnamon Honey Butter is so addictive you're going to want to put it on everything! It takes only five ingredients to make (not including salt), and it tastes even better than Texas Roadhouse! Serve on hot rolls for the ultimate pairing.
Place all ingredients in a medium mixing bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer. Beat on low until the powdered sugar is incorporated, then increase to medium and mix 2–3 minutes until smooth and fluffy.
½ cup softened unsalted butter, 1 tablespoon honey, ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract, 1 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, ¼ cup powdered sugar, a pinch of salt
Scoop the cinnamon honey butter into a small serving dish or silicone mold and smooth the top.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 1–3 days, or refrigerate up to 1 month. Note: If using a butter mold, refrigerate so it sets and releases easily. Keep refrigerated in warm environments. Do not microwave.
Serve on rolls, toast or French toast, crackers, baked sweet potatoes, cooked carrots, pancakes, waffles, cornbread, soft pretzels, and more.
Notes
Use room-temperature, softened butter to make mixing easy. If you forgot to soften it, microwave the whole stick (paper on) for 8–10 seconds—it works perfectly.
Make the cinnamon honey butter extra special by serving it in a decorative dish or silicone mold. For holidays, get creative with festive shapes like turkeys, pumpkins, or Christmas trees. Refrigerate first so it sets and keeps its shape; keep it refrigerated in warm environments.
If using salted butter, omit the added salt. For a dairy-free version, use a plant-based butter like Earth Balance.
To adjust the flavor, reduce cinnamon to ½–1 teaspoon and increase honey to 2–3 tablespoon for a stronger honey taste.
Avoid using margarine unless you are familiar with its flavor, as it may alter the taste and texture.
For topping sweet potatoes, add 2–3 tablespoon light brown sugar and, if needed, an extra tablespoon of honey. Do not reduce powdered sugar, as it keeps the butter light and fluffy, while brown sugar adds density.
